Raúl Fonte Venegas, born on April 25, 1978, in Havana, Cuba, is a painter whose work combines abstract art with Latin American influences. A self-taught artist, his early work was strongly inspired by the diverse oeuvre of Salvador González Escalona, a renowned contemporary artist whose influence remains visible throughout Havana to this day.
